When I want something light but still nourishing for breakfast I go for my blueberries almond milk smoothie. It gives me power before a workout and energy until lunch. Quick and delicious, here is the recipe.
For 1 glass of smoothie put all these ingredients in a food processor :
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 2 frozen strawberries
- 1 Medjool date
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
Add fresh mint leaves to put on top! Fabulous!
Blueberries are so good for you, one of the fruit with the highest antioxidants. I love adding a date in this smoothie, it gives texture and a sweet taste. Plus it brings me the extra energy before working out!
