Kinfield Golden Hour Bug Spray

Sometimes the souvenir of a great evening spent outside at golden hour is in your mind AND on your skin be mosquitoes’ fault. Spraying yourself with DEET (the most common active ingredient in insect repellents) is far from ideal. Especially if you are planning to dress up a bit and eat outside. DEET’s odor can be bothering and some people experience irritated skin after using it*.

Kinfield Golden Hour Bug Spray is DEET-free, super effective against mosquitoes and smells great! Active ingredients list is the following: citronella oil (10.00%), lemongrass oil (1.00%) and clove oil (0.01%). There is also a bit of vanillin which is a thing I love about this product (besides its effectiveness of course!)
The citronella used in Kinfield bug spray is a unique strain of Indonesian citronella that's more effective than any other.

I used Kinfield spray in Polynesia where there were a lot of bugs. I did a long hike in a very humid environment covered with it and came back with zero bites. At some point a lady who was also hiking asked “What smells so good!?” and it was me!
I carried the smaller version on me during the day, the Golden Hour Mini which is 0.8 oz and costs $9 (note that you can only purchase it as an add-on to your order).
